Today In History with The Retrospectors

Today in History with the Retrospectors is a daily, ten minute ‘on this day in history’ podcast I created and co-produce with Rethink Audio.

From the birth of the Hawaiian pizza in 1962 to Elizabeth of Russia’s bloodless coup of 1741, we’ve truly covered a dizzying variety of events, with (I hope) pep and verve.

Reviewing the show in The Observer in May 2023, Miranda Sawyer called it “fun, interesting and properly edited (my favourite type)… Sharp!”

Co-hosted by Rebecca Messina and Arion McNicoll, the show launched in May 2021, surpassed one million downloads in its first six months, and in 2023 was nominated as Best Daily Show at the British Podcast Awards.
