In 2015, I was invited to present The Guardian's Tech Weekly podcast, a show I'd been listening to for years. It was incredibly flattering, and also a daunting prospect, taking over from the show's long-standing previous host, Aleks Krotoski.

Highlights from my tenure included travelling to Silicon Valley to interview Mike Krieger, CTO of Instagram; hitting the trade floor at CTIA Vegas to debate the future of 5G and dronalism; asking Radio 1 controller Ben Cooper about the threat from web-streaming services; and pondering how social media is changing our brains with the fascinating Laurence Scott.
